Sunny and Rick love that they don't have to worry about cutting grass at their new Epcon home!
Sunny and Rick weren’t just looking for a new home. They wanted to engage in a community with like-minded people in the same stage of their lives. They found the perfect home and community with Epcon.
When they first walked into an Epcon model home, Sunny and Rick immediately loved the open floor plan and spacious, luxurious feel. They ended up choosing the Portico with bonus suite so guests and grandchildren would have their own private suite on the second floor.
Rick mentioned, “Outside space was very important to us. We needed the extra space for Sunny’s sewing studio, and we also needed space in the kitchen. We like to cook, we like to entertain, and Epcon Communities have all three for us”.

Even though they haven’t retired yet, Sunny and Rick have plenty of time for walks around the community pond to enjoy the butterflies, birds and other wildlife. Their home is within walking distance of the community clubhouse and pool which makes it convenient to take advantage of all the amenities there.

Sunny loves the feeling of community and thoughtfully said, “When you go and get your mail every day, and you see your neighbors, you can keep up with them and what’s going on. I want to know these people.” She continued, “We’re still working, so when we come home in the afternoon, they’re welcoming us, they’re waving, and inviting us over.”
Rick added, “It feels like home. And you have real neighbors that are friends. They ask if they can help and what they can do for you while you’re away”.
Sunny summed it up by saying, “We just said, We’re going to create new memories...and we have!”
